About a month ago, I added running to my list of activities. I haven't run a timed 5k in over 12 years and it was hard to adjust back into the realm of running. As a cyclist, there is much more fun to be had, but with running, very little preparation is needed. Who else runs? What do you do to keep yourself motivated?
LiveOnceEnjoy.com is undergoing some website changes. You will notice a completely new layout and login method. All of your account information is still the same and all features should still be available.
These updates will affect the main website as well as some of the features on the community/discussion boards. If anybody notices anything weird, please let me know so I can address it as soon as possible.
LOE is proud to announce a recent relationship with ColoradoCrackGear.com has developed and will be keeping the LiveOnceEnjoy community and all of it's readers up to date on their latest gear and climbing articles.
So check out their website and show our climbing partners why we love this sport!
Got to take the SL out for a few rides already and wow, what a difference. I mean, this bike was nice before, but now, I feel like a broken record when I say this but 'It's a whole new ball game'.
Got the Force drive train setup perfectly first time around. It took me all of 5 minutes to get fully acclimated to the Sram 'Double Tap' style shifting compared to the Shimano. If anybody wants to go for a ride, please let me know, I will be anxious as can be.
I have recently upgraded my carbon bike to an entirely new groupset. I will post the old setup and new setup.
Here is how it finished off 2011.
Shimano 5700 Groupset
DDK Sport Saddle
S-Lite Race Wheelset/Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase Tires
2010 SL Club Frameset/Fork
Sram Force Groupset
Sram Force Crank
Selle Italia Carbonio Flow
S-Lite Race Wheelset/Duro Hypersonic
I have pretty much switched my standard of energy/electrolyte intake to that of Cliff Energy Blocks. They are the gummy blocks that come in about 10 flavors. They seem to work extremely well for me and I think it is much easier to eat while riding than some of the cookies and energy bars.
Anybody else try or use them?
My touring/commuting bike has received another upgrade! Today, UPS delivered my Fuzion M1 wheelset for my Giant. Until now, I had the stock wheels from my specialized allez on the bike and while they did the job, they did not do the ride justice. My faith in Williams Cycling wheels is very strong and each and every wheels set they make seems to be bomb proof and serviceable. Here is a crappy first picture of the bike with the new upgrade.
